Changelog
What changed
Only changes players can notice, by date. Internal refactors are left out. The game always runs the latest version automatically.
October 18, 2026
- The privacy notice now lists opening the feedback link among recorded events. Only the fact that the link was opened is recorded; feedback you post on Discord and your Discord account are not received. It took effect on October 18, 2026.
October 17, 2026
- On iPhone, swiping in from the left edge no longer goes back once you are in a room. Drawing from the left edge no longer brings up "Leave this room?", and colors, tools and buttons along that edge still respond to a tap. On the home screen the swipe goes back as before, and Back on Android still asks before you leave.
October 16, 2026
- The drawing palette grows from 16 to 24 colors. Lime, dark red, magenta, lavender, beige, dark purple, coral and light green are new, and the guesser's doodle board uses the same 24. Similar colors sit together three to a row: three columns by eight rows on a computer, twelve columns by two rows on a phone. Colors in earlier rounds are unchanged.
- The drawing board has new line, rectangle and circle tools. Pick one from the tool block and drag out the shape: it draws an outline in the current color and width, and one undo removes it. Press the same tool again to go back to the pen. On a keyboard,
Ais the line,Sthe rectangle andDthe circle.
October 13, 2026
- The privacy notice's in-app browser item now also covers whether the notice was shown, so KakaoTalk's "Open this in your browser" dialog does not appear again in the same tab. It took effect on October 13, 2026.
- In the game settings window a guest sees, the options no longer all have dashed outlines. A dashed outline now only marks an option the host can't pick with the current number of players.
- Every language now calls the lobby by the word its buttons use. The prompt and its topic use two different words, and piece, artist and submit each use one word per language. The ellipsis is a single character (…) in every language.
- Default prompts in Japanese, Latin American Spanish and Thai now use everyday words in place of formal or rare ones. French teacher is now professeur, Indonesian flying castle is spelled kastil terbang like castle, and Turkish bacon is corrected to domuz pastırması (pastırma is a different cured beef).
- Regional words and spelling or script variants of the same word (Vietnamese northern and southern words, Latin American Spanish words that differ by country, and Thai, Japanese and Indonesian spellings) also count as correct answers.
- Qualifiers that only the artist needs now sit in a trailing bracket (배 (탈것), farol (marítimo), casque (audio) and similar). Guessers can answer with the bare word, or with the qualifier written out without brackets. The Korean ship prompt is now 배 (탈것).
- While the guesser waits in a crop game, screen readers now count submitted drawings instead of pieces, and switching language mid-round updates the round badge on the guesser's waiting screen.
- Screen readers no longer read an English role name on the tutorial slides, the room code copy button name now uses each language's punctuation (for example French and Japanese), and the desktop connection and host notices have a short one-line summary in all ten languages.
- Opening the game inside KakaoTalk on iPhone now shows an "Open this in your browser" dialog once. "Open in browser" opens it in your browser with the invited room code filled in. After moving to the browser, coming back to KakaoTalk closes KakaoTalk's window, or if it stays open, an "Opened in your browser" dialog covers it so you don't join the same room twice. Android KakaoTalk does the same when you come back after it switches you to your browser automatically.
October 12, 2026
- The privacy notice now lists two items kept only while the tab stays open — an invite room code you have not used yet, and a mark that another tab deleted this device's data. It took effect on October 12, 2026.
- Pressing "Delete data on this device" now also stops other open tabs from saving the deleted nickname and last room again. When your place moves to another tab, the old tab tells you where to continue.
- The guess and custom prompt fields stop at the same 32 characters as the server. The room code field takes just the code from a pasted invite link or share text. If copying the room code fails, you see why and a link you can copy by hand. Invite links use the host's language path.
- Your phone screen stays awake while you wait in quick match. Opening another room's invite link in a tab that holds a seat leaves the old room first. You are told when your network hits its room limit.
- When you return to the tab or the network comes back, the connection is checked right away; when the server gets a new build, only tabs that are not in a room reload once. You are also told when leaving a room cannot reach the server.
- Wider keyboard and screen reader support: closing a dialog returns focus to the button that opened it, connection notices are read out, and language names in the language menu carry language tags. The language and sound menus open one at a time. The screen reader name of a revealed picture does not give the artists or their pieces before the guess.
- On desktop, connection and host notices gather into a one-line summary in the top row so they stop covering the prompt. Long nicknames wrap in the kick and leave dialog titles, the game screen and dialogs stay inside the visible area when you pinch-zoom, and the guess timer slot on the guesser's answer screen fits the longest time text.
- The artist progress list follows room order, so it does not hint at who has which piece. The shared countdown before the reveal shows even after your own deadline passed, the point and stroke limit notice returns while you stay at the limit, and a sound effects volume of zero also stops vibration.
October 11, 2026
- When the server restarts, running rooms are wrapped up so everyone lands on the wrap-up screen and can save the results. No new round or game opens during a restart. If your room disappears mid-game, the wrap-up screen opens instead of Home when the game has finished rounds.
- Vietnamese answers accept tone placement (hóa and hoá) and y/i (kỳ and kì) as the same answer, and the default job prompts in Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish and French accept masculine and feminine forms (for example enfermeiro and enfermeira). The Turkish verdict label says whose answer it is.
- Handing an invite to the default browser from an in-app browser such as KakaoTalk leaves the lobby spot first. The mobile guesser wait bar fits the longest text in any language.
October 6, 2026
- Starting the next round with disconnected players now asks first. On touch devices, quick match steps out of the queue while the screen is hidden and resumes with the same elapsed time when you return.
October 5, 2026
- The privacy notice now lists the quick-match wait start time kept for the tab session. It took effect on October 5, 2026.
- The host can free a reconnecting seat with "Free seat" without blocking the name. An artist's draft is saved periodically, so it survives a reconnect. On touch devices, info pages open in the same tab while you are matching.
- The mobile lobby is centered and its list scrolls inside itself without a scrollbar.
October 4, 2026
- On mobile the lobby notices collapse into one tappable line, and lobby errors appear once in the top error card.
October 3, 2026
- In a crop game with three artists, the artist who takes the two diagonal cells now rotates fairly from round to round.
- Standalone Hangul jamo (ㄱ, ㅏ) count as different from syllables in names and answers. When a custom prompt game mixes interface languages, the settings dialog warns the host.
- The privacy notice now lists the screen-language flag used to tell the host that custom prompts are not translated.
September 29, 2026
- In a crop game with a guesser, the artists' full drawings are no longer sent to the guesser before the guess ends.
- The masked prompt line on the guesser's intro is gone.
- A failed start no longer removes seats, and quick-match rooms fill in queue order. Sound switches are speaker icons now.
- The privacy notice now lists only the guesser doodle board tip among the first-time tips remembered in your browser. It took effect on September 29, 2026.
September 25, 2026
- The Terms of Service now state how the service operates, with refined wording, and the privacy notice and accessibility statement were brought up to date; the no-ads claims were removed. Both took effect on September 25, 2026.
September 24, 2026
- Error messages are rewritten as "what happened + what you can do". The kick dialog title names the player, and short dialogs on mobile open as bottom sheets you can swipe to close.
- The lobby names who it is waiting for, the first empty spot is an "Invite a friend" button, and invite share text includes the room settings. You can spot yourself by a "you" tag on every live screen.
- Waiting artists see the others' remaining time. Explicit submits and answer locks give a short vibration, and a wait over 8 seconds says the connection is slow.
- Wrap-up screen buttons say what they do, and screen changes are one 150 ms fade. The piece of an artist who left shows as "Left" instead of "Submitted".
September 23, 2026
- The default guess time is now 15 seconds; 10, 15 and 20 are still available.
- On large screens the game grows up to 1.5x and the drawing is rendered at that density. Strokes are joined with smooth curves between points.
- Answer judging ignores input-method differences: full-width and half-width forms, spaces and hyphens, letter case, and katakana versus hiragana count as the same answer.
- On the wrap-up screen, the host can start "Play again" with the same settings and players. People still viewing the results are not pulled into the next game and show in the lobby list. The share button only appears in browsers that can share files.
- Artist names, hearts and stones now sit in the four corners of the result picture. Quick match shows the wait time and, after 45 seconds, offers creating a room or Discord once.
September 22, 2026
- The wrap-up screen shows playful O/X round records and a tidier ranking, and the lobby player list gets doodle faces.
- Mobile screens scale the same layout proportionally to fit one screen, and help moved to the menu at the top left.
September 21, 2026
- The privacy notice was brought up to date with the game: quick-match waiting data, the guesser doodle board, correct-answer records and hearts and stones, and how long each is kept and how to delete it. It took effect on September 21, 2026.
- The wrap-up screen is simpler, centered on the artwork and correct-answer counts, and the background music carries through it. Hearts and stones fly from the recipient's drawing piece.
- New sound effects: countdown, drawing start whistle, deadline alarm, and a pencil scribble when you submit. Music ducks a little while effects play.
September 15, 2026
- The Guesser Doodle Board now uses the same tools and layout as the artist's canvas, and earlier guessers' drawings are protected. Result names and save actions have short hints.
September 12, 2026
- In Normal mode the pieces are randomly reassigned every round. The same assignment can repeat.
September 8, 2026
- With a guesser on, the wrap-up screen shows a ranking by exact-match answers. Ties share a rank.
- You can send hearts and stones to a result picture. Music and sound effects switch on and off separately. Korean nicknames no longer get an honorific.
September 6, 2026
- Quick match is on the home page. Enter a name and press it; the button turns into “Matching… 1/2” and a no-guesser room opens as soon as someone else is waiting. Creating a room or joining by code still works meanwhile and simply leaves the queue.
- The keyboard shortcut on/off switch in game settings is gone; shortcuts are always on.
September 5, 2026
- Revised section 6 of the terms: drawings made together in a room can be used in streams, videos, and screenshots, monetized ones included. Effective September 12, 2026.
- The press kit now says a round takes about a minute and describes custom prompts and the guesser doodle board.
- The host can pick the guess time: 10, 15 or 20 seconds. The default stays 10.
- The keyboard-shortcut on/off switch moved to the bottom of the game settings dialog.
- The privacy notice now covers children under 14, users in the EU/EEA/UK, and edge-network processing.
September 4, 2026
- Added language home addresses —
/ko,/ja,/pt-BR, and more. Opening one for the first time starts the game in that language; a language you pick yourself afterwards stays. - Opened the how-to-play & FAQ page and this changelog. The Home footer now links to how to play, the press kit, and accessibility.
- Trimmed the Korean display font to the Hangul range only, so the first Korean load is lighter.
September 3, 2026
- The result screen hides the center logo so the drawing gets more room, and the desktop Next round · Wrap up buttons were tidied.
- Korean now uses the Pretendard display font; Japanese, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese use each language's system fonts.
- Nicknames that differ only by letter case count as the same name inside a room.
- When the server is busy you get a notice that is distinct from a network drop, and reconnection retries back off gradually.
- A room that sits idle for 20 minutes in the lobby, prep, result, or wrap-up screens closes automatically. It never closes mid-drawing or during a reveal.
- Static file caching improved, so repeat visits load faster.
September 2, 2026
- With custom prompts, everyone submits a fresh prompt after each full rotation of players. Earlier prompts are no longer repeated automatically.
September 1, 2026
- The guesser doodle pad allows far more strokes.
- Room seats now live per browser tab. A new tab no longer inherits an existing seat.
August 31, 2026
- Save as one collage now includes the guesser doodle pad pages as bonus tiles.
August 30, 2026
- Added drawing shortcuts —
1/2for pen width,Qfill,Weraser,Eundo (Ctrl/Cmd+Zstill works). Key badges appear only when a physical keyboard is present.
August 25, 2026
- Added the guesser doodle pad: while waiting, each guesser draws on top of the previous guesser's page, and the finished page is revealed as the
??bonus on the wrap-up screen. - Removed the round-count setting. After every result the host picks Next round or Wrap up, and returning to the lobby happens from the wrap-up screen.
- Wrap-up navigation is now previous · current/total · next · view all, with round numbers counted within the current game.
- Default prompts can be narrowed to one theme: animals, food, people & jobs, objects & vehicles, places & nature, or fantasy & monsters.
- The recovery notice shown after a long absence moved out of the result card into its own status bar.
